EUPHORIC

HOLLA TUMBY! It’s been awhile since my last entry. Anyway, I’m back on track ‘cause I felt the urge to write something about the terribly good thing happened to me. So here’s what made me euphoric..

Official list of LET passers, April 3, 2011 (see the highlighted name?)

Who wouldn’t be happy with such unexpected great news? Well, I just experienced it last night and felt like I won the lottery, yes that’s the best I could think of. It was actually unexplainable and too great to express. Anyway, my friend, Bam called me up and here’s the conversation we had:

BAM: te! CONGRATULATIONS!!! (with kilig)

ROSS: huh? bakit?

BAM: PUMASA KA NA! (still with kilig)

ROSS: WHAT?! PANO NALAMAN? SAAN? KELAN LUMABAS? (getting ecstatic)

BAM: AYAN OH, TINITINGNAN KO NA NGAYON. Ipopost ko sa wall mo yung link.

ROSS: SIGE, PLEASE. THANKS BAM! SOBRA! (shaky voice) Sige, tatawagan kita later ah (about to cry)

Then when I hung up the phone, I cried. Maybe to some, might find it OA excitement but I really don’t care at all coz I’m too busy to know their reactions. They (my family) were all very happy for me that I was able to achieved and passed the test. What’s overwhelming is that I just had it in 1 take and didn’t expect to nailed it. I wanna thank everyone who prayed for my success and encouragements that kept me alive all through out my waiting process. But above all else, I wanna THANK YOU LORD for my first breakthrough this year. Thank You for being so good to me even though there are a lot of times that I swerved from the right path.

This calls for a celebration! :)

BOARD EXAMINATION FOR TEACHERS

I just had my licensure exam (LET) yesterday at MLQU, Monzon Hall in Quiapo Manila. It was undoubtedly the hardest thing I ever did after a year of resting, I’m a bit confident but mostly anxious and scared ‘cause I don’t know if I nailed it. It was kinda easy though. I don’t think I’ll be as joyful or witty as before unless PRC reveals the test results. Agony starts now…*click :(

Effin’ odd

Okay! Just one more sleep and it’s going to be my big day, the much awaited day, dooms day (whatever you may call it) I really don’t know what to feel. All I want is to ace that exam and be off to SG. Okay, this is a bit rubbish, I just want to release the anxiety feeling that I have. Off to sleep now.

Local Natives do La Blogothèque

For those of you who don’t know - La Blogothèque’s ‘Take Away Shows’ are unedited exclusive footage of artists spontaneously performing in the most natural of places. This guerilla-style filming captures and reveals a different side of most bands, showing most of us the interior process and details of their work. I’ve been following these videos for  a while now but this one by the Local Natives just seamlessly takes the cake for me. One of my favorite songs on one of  the best music platforms. Enjoy.

P.S. - Phoenix, Aloe Blacc, The National, Arcade Fire (to name a few!) have their own versions of this on the site, definitely worth your time.

They nailed it! Ineffable version.
